How LibertyX Works

LibertyX operates the largest network of local stores where you can go and purchase bitcoin in-person. Our platform allows consumers to pay with cash or debit card to buy bitcoin from an ATM, cashier, or kiosk.

To get started, download the free LibertyX mobile app from libertyx.com/app or the Apple & Google Play App Stores. Create an account by providing your mobile phone number. You can increase your daily purchasing limit by providing additional information. Note: for some accounts, ID may be required before you can make any purchases. Once you have an account, there are three simple steps to buying bitcoin:

(1) Select "Start purchase" and paste your bitcoin wallet address (or scan its QR code)

(2) Select the store location you wish to purchase at and select "Buy bitcoin here"

(3) Your 6-digit order number will be displayed in a green box on the LibertyX app.

(4) Take that order number to the store location, or ATM, and finalize payment. When payment is confirmed, the bitcoin is sent to the wallet address you provided in Step 1.

Step 1: Select "Start Purchase" and provide your bitcoin wallet address - Your LibertyX bitcoin purchase is instant. As a result, we need to know where to send the bitcoin beforehand. Once you select "Start purchase" after logging in to the app, you will be asked for your bitcoin address. If you do not already have a bitcoin wallet, you can download and create one for free.

Step 2: Find a Store - Our mobile app helps you find a nearby store to buy bitcoin in-person. Use the geolocation feature or enter your city/ZIP in the search field to find locations near you. Apply filters (e.g. cash vs. debit card, or cashier vs. ATM) based on your preference. Click a store to learn more about its fees, hours and view photos. Select "Buy bitcoin here" from each store's location to generate your order number.

Step 3: Complete Your Payment - Follow the location instructions to either pay by cash or debit card. Once your payment is complete, the bitcoin is immediately sent to the bitcoin address provided. That's it, you now own bitcoin!
